If you're from out of town (and a reminder for us Vancouverites), the annual Celebration of Light (aka Symphony of Fire as it used to be called) is happening during the week (from the end of July to the beginning of August), on each Wednesday and Saturday night at 10pm. It's a competition between three countries every year, and I have to admit, even veteran fireworks-watchers can be impressed (the above photo is from last year's event). Oh, and if you don't already know it, ask me or Lee about our "Symphony of Rats" story...
